Mission Statement

F

ort Sherman Academy (FSA) was founded as a training institute in Idaho’s higher education system in 2001.  In 2003 FSA privatized to better provide the services our clients needed in the environment, and at the locations they required.  As a privately owned Training Company, we are able to offer our clients the flexibility and the privacy they need to protect and support their personnel worldwide.

FSA trains internationally, working in over 27 countries worldwide, and serving clientele in multiple environments:

Background:
FSA was founded by David Dose, a Department of Defense-trained expert in high-risk hostage survival techniques and training development.  Our team, of over 50 full and part-time personnel, has strategically useful backgrounds in a variety of related fields:

This has allowed us to better customize our services to our clients as we have personnel who have “been there and done that’.

Capacity:
FSA currently works with 70+ organizations globally.  We currently train approximately 3000 individuals annually in varied settings:

Location… location… location:
We are located in the breath-taking Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area, a major tourist destination in northern Idaho for those seeking solace and scenery in a still-pristine wilderness setting with all the amenities one expects in a major tourist destination – fine dining, outdoor recreation options galore, 5-star hotels, championship golf courses.  God has richly blessed us with thousands of acres of public recreational property, some of the friendliest people you will ever meet, miles of improved hiking and biking trails to explore, several major ski resorts, at least 10 larger lakes in the immediate area, and dozens of smaller, alpine gems in the surrounding Coeur d’Alene and Bitterroot mountains. Each summer, several hundred students join us here for advanced training, team building, leadership retreats, and to take in the fresh air and the view.

Northern Idaho - there’s a lot of excitement in our air up here – but nothing else…
